R.B. Colborne Award of Excellence
The R.B. Colborne Award of Excellence recognizes and celebrates employees who make a significant contribution through a commitment to our Core Values — the same Core Values first instilled by company founder Bob Colborne.
Nominees are presented by fellow employees and then evaluated by a local committee. The top nominee in each business line is inducted into the President’s Club of Excellence. As well, their name is submitted to the Board of Directors for selection of the national winner.
Long Service Award
The Long Service Award recognizes and celebrates employees who have been with SOUTHLAND for 5 years and beyond.
Safe Driving Award
We congratulate drivers with Safe Driving awards and bonuses. Annually, drivers who have complete one year without any preventable incidents receive this recognition.
Doug Bowie Sustainable Leadership Award
This award acknowledges the legacy of Doug Bowie, Academic Director – Leadership Programs at the Haskayne School of Business – University of Calgary. His time with the company brought significant growth in the leadership capacity of individuals. Additionally, growth to the organization overall. Both are the result of Doug Bowie’s dedication for nearly two decades.
